Ripley County Health Department is comprised by three divisions. The Public Health Nurse Division is formed by two staff members. Services provided at the Nurse Division include Immunization Clinics, Free Pregnancy Test, Blood Sugar Screening, Blood Pressure Screening, Communicable Disease Information, and Flu and Pneumonia Shots.

The Environmental Division is comprised of three Environmental Health Specialist, one Public Health Coordinator, one Environmental Health Assistant, and one Part-Time Environmental Office Staff. The Environmental Health Specialist and Public Health Coordinator are responsible for Hazardous Chemical Spills, educating the public on Environmental Health, Public Health Emergency Preparedness / Response, and forming part of the Local Emergency Planning Committee. Other services provided by the Environmental Health Specialist include the inspection of food investigating, animal bites, Sewage Disposal Systems, and Environmental Complaints. The Environmental Health Assistant is responsible for Mosquito Control, Animal Bites / Abuse, Swimming Pools, Indoor Air Quality, Environmental Complaints, HAZ-MAT Spills, LEPC, and Public Health Emergency Preparedness. The vital records division issues Birth Certificates and Death Certificates records starting from 1882.
